Messages from Japan

As part of our #UnshakableFriendship campaign, we have gathered messages of gratitude and friendship from the people of Japan. Make sure to check out Ambassador Tomita’s message marking the 10 Anniversary of the Great East Japan Earthquake, a special thank you message from Japan, a message to America from the people of Fukushima, and a performance by the Fukushima Youth Sinfonietta

10th Anniversary Events

The National Museum of Asian Art, our Japan Information & Culture Center, and the National Cherry Blossom Festival are commemorating the 10th Anniversary with a free screening of the Japanese films “Voices in Wind” on March 12th and “The Whispering Star” from March 26th to April 11th. Also, don’t miss CLAIR NY’s online tribute event that offers discussion and documentary screenings until March 14th.

Commemorative Campaign

We will be continuing to highlight the unshakable friendship between Japan and the United States throughout the month and during the Cherry Blossom Festival. Use #UnshakableFriendship on social media to both follow and join the conversation.
