Rishi is a Partner at Robert Brown LLC and heads the local office, which is based out of Durham, NC. Raised in North Carolina, Rishi received his Juris Doctorate from Case Western Reserve University and is an alumni of both the Johns Hopkins University and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He oversees much of the firm’s employment-based immigration practice, assisting companies and employees in obtaining a wide ranging of work visas and permanent residency status. He also manages many of the firm’s other core practice areas, including family-based immigration, naturalization and removal defense.
Prior to beginning his law practice, Rishi worked as a teacher with positions in Baltimore, Maryland and Nagasaki, Japan. While in Japan, Rishi worked with the Japanese Exchange in Teaching (“JET”) program, where he taught at Shimabara Technical High School (Shimabara Kogyo), located in Shimabara and nearby to Mt. Unzen. While in Japan, Rishi met his wife and now travels to Japan frequently.
