Whether you own a classic Skyline, a souped-up Supra, or a tricked-out Evo, this event is the perfect place to show off your ride and connect with fellow enthusiasts. Expect a morning packed with car talk, photo ops, and maybe even some friendly competitions. Don’t miss out on this opportunity to bond over your love for Japanese automotive culture.
There will also be a mini Japanese market at the Bridgeway Pavilion! Check out local vendors with Japanese baked goods, crafts, etc.

Kayobi-Kai dinners are on-going dinner meetings that meet the 2nd Tuesday of each month at different restaurants in the metro Atlanta area. The Kayobi-Kai is intended to be an informal gathering to promote friendship and social networking, and anyone who to interested is welcome. All Kayobi-Kai dinners will begin at 6:30pm and everyone in attendance will be responsible for their own check at the end of the evening.

The average group attending these Kayobi-Kai dinners is 8-15 people, and depending on the restaurant, we may have to cap attendance. Please sign up if you plan to come, so we know to expect you. Should you have any suggestions and/or requests regarding restaurants for future Kayobi-Kai meetings, please do not hesitate to contact the JASG office and let us know your recommendations. Each 60-minute session will include one episode of the “Tanaka stories” (true short stories about experiences of Japanese expats living in the US). Each participant will get practice and personalized feedback about pronunciation of tricky American sounds, retelling a short, true story in natural English, telling a personal story similar to the Tanaka story in your own words.

The Japan-America Society of Georgia is excited to celebrate its 45th anniversary at the 2025 Annual Dinner Gala. This year’s event also marks the 20th anniversary of the Atlanta-Fukuoka Sister-city relationship. As such, the gala will be a celebration of two decades of vibrant cultural exchange, economic collaboration, and lasting friendship. Join in for an elegant garden-side reception & dinner, and inspiring keynote remarks beneath the stars.
The sister city relationship between Atlanta, Georgia and Fukuoka, Japan was officially established in 2005, building on shared strengths as regional hubs for business, culture, and innovation. Over the past two decades, the partnership has fostered meaningful exchanges through student visits, cultural programs, and civic collaboration. Highlights include annual high school exchange programs, participation in the Asian-Pacific Children’s Convention, and joint celebrations at events like JapanFest. As the relationship marks its 20th anniversary in 2025, it continues to serve as a vibrant bridge between the American South and Japan’s Kyushu region.

2025 Bon Dance Festival

The Bon Dance Festival includes Bon Odori, which is performed in colorful kimono, yukata, and happi coats. Rather than somber affairs, the Bon Dance Festival represents an energetic mix of traditional choreography with modern-day merrymaking.
There will be Japanese crafts for sale from Wa no Sato, Kimono for sale, Bubble tea by Ocha tea bar, and more! Activities will include Japanese Lottery, Festival games such as Yoyo Fishing & Strikezone, Calligraphy practice, I-Go board games, Japanese goods, Japanese crafted goods, Origami, Omikuji fortunes, Yukata Dressup, and more!Enjoy our festival in comfortable air conditioning and protection from the weather.
